Who we are
TrameWeaver is operated from Australia by Gaëtan Selle trading as TrameWeaver (ABN 36 440 385 792). Contact: hello@trameweaver.com.
The short version
- TrameWeaver is local-first: your projects live in your browser on your device unless you choose a cloud feature.
- We don't sell your writing or your personal information — to anyone, ever.
- Your private projects are never made public.
- The website and the app use no advertising or analytics cookies and no trackers. Beta emails may use standard delivery/open tracking so we know invites are landing — see below.
- We do not use your writing to train AI models. If that ever changes, it will be announced clearly, disclosed in this policy first, and your existing work will not be included without your consent.
What we collect and why
- Account data — your email address and beta-approval status, stored with our authentication provider (Supabase), so you can sign in with a magic link and we can manage private-beta access.
- Waitlist and invite data — the email you give the waitlist form, plus your beta status (e.g. waitlist / approved), handled through our email provider (Brevo), so we can send you your invite and beta-related email. The waitlist form is only used for this — no marketing spam.
- Cloud projects — if you use Save to Cloud, Open from Cloud, Save a Cloud Copy, or Cloud Autosave, the project you choose to save (its title, content and metadata) is stored in our database (Supabase) against your account, so you can back it up and open it on another device. Local-only projects are never uploaded.
- Support conversations — if you email us or post in our Discord, we see what you send us there.
- Email delivery and engagement — like most email providers, Brevo may record whether the beta emails we send are delivered, opened, or clicked. We use this only to make sure invites are actually landing — never for advertising or profiling.
We collect no payment data (the beta is free), and the website and app run no analytics or tracking.
Cookies and browser storage
Neither the website nor the app sets advertising or analytics cookies. The app uses your browser's local storage for essential functionality only: your project data, your preferences, your sign-in session, and cloud-sync bookkeeping.
Clearing your browser storage will remove local projects that haven't been exported or saved to cloud — export first.
If we ever add an analytics tool (for example, privacy-focused page analytics on the website), this policy will be updated first to say exactly what it is and what it collects.
Where your data is stored and who processes it
We use a small number of service providers to run TrameWeaver:
- Supabase — authentication and cloud project storage.
- Vercel — hosts the website and the app.
- Brevo — waitlist, approval and invite email.
- Google Fonts — delivers the fonts; your browser requests them from Google, which involves your IP address.
- Discord — our support community, only if you choose to join (Discord's own privacy policy applies there).
- Cloudflare — DNS and email routing for trameweaver.com; email you send to hello@trameweaver.com passes through Cloudflare's email-routing service on its way to us.
These providers may store or process data outside Australia (including in the US and EU). We choose reputable providers, but international transfer is inherent to how the service works.
How long we keep things
Account and waitlist data are kept while your account or waitlist entry is active. Cloud projects are kept until you delete them; when you delete a cloud project it is removed from your account immediately, and residual copies in our database and backups are permanently removed after a limited period.
If you'd like your account and all associated data deleted, email hello@trameweaver.com and we'll take care of it.
Your rights
TrameWeaver is operated from Australia. We may currently qualify for the small business exemption under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), but we've chosen to align our practices with the Australian Privacy Principles regardless — this policy is written to that standard.
Wherever you are — and specifically if you're in the EU/EEA or UK under the GDPR — you can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or object to how it's handled.
TrameWeaver also has export built in: you can download any project as a JSON file at any time from the app's File menu.
To exercise any right, email hello@trameweaver.com. If you're in Australia you can complain to the OAIC (oaic.gov.au); if you're in the EU/EEA you can contact your local data-protection authority.
Your writing and AI
TrameWeaver has no AI features today, and your writing is not used to train AI models — ours or anyone else's. If we ever introduce an AI-assisted feature, it will be announced clearly, this policy will be updated first, and your existing work will not be used without your consent.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data — private-beta access control, row-level security on cloud data, and encrypted connections. No online service can promise perfect security, so please keep local exports of important work.
Children
TrameWeaver isn't directed at children under 18. Our waitlist and sign-up only ask for an email address and don't verify age; if we become aware that we hold a child's personal data, we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above; significant changes will be flagged to beta users by email or in the app.
